
Pack Hosts No. 18 Ole Miss for SEC/ACC Challenge

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women's basketball team will play No. 18 Ole Miss in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. NC State will host the challenge game at Reynolds Coliseum for the second consecutive year. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
SCOUTING NC STATE
- The Wolfpack went 1-1 at the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship, defeating Southern, 77-47, before falling to No. 7/7 LSU, 82-65
- NC State has the toughest strength of schedule of all Power 4 teams in the country, and has debuted at No. 29 in the NET
- The Pack fell out of the AP Poll, receiving 58 votes to be at No. 26. The Pack's three losses are to top 10 teams: No. 3 South Carolina, No. 5 LSU and No. 9 TCU. NC State is ranked No. 24 in the WBCA Coaches Poll
- The Pack has six players who average 5.3 points or more per game
- Through seven games, the Pack is led by Aziaha James' 17.6 points per game
- Saniya Rivers leads the Pack in rebounds per game (5.1), blocks per game (1.3) and steals per game (1.6)

- This marks the second year of the SEC-ACC Challenge. Last year, NC State defeated Vanderbilt, 70-62 at home, as both conferences tied, 7-7, in wins
SCOUTING OLE MISS
- Ole Miss was picked to finish fifth (media) and sixth (coaches) in the SEC Preseason Poll
- The Rebels finished 24-9 and third in the SEC. Ole Miss was the seventh seed in the NCAA Tournament, defeating Marquette (67-55) in the first round before falling to No. 2-seeded Notre Dame, 71-56
- Madison Scott was chosen on the SEC Preseason First Team by the coaches and Second Team by the media. She averaged 12.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game with 109 assists last season
- This season, KK Deans leads the Rebels with 12.1 points per game
- Starr Jacobs logs a team's best 6.4 rebounds per game and Scott has a team's most 27 assists and tied for a team-leading 10 blocks with Christeen Iwuala
- Sira Thienou has a team's most 16 steals

- NC State leads Ole Miss in the series, 3-1
