LEXINGTON, Ky. – After helping lead the Wolfpack back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017, senior Amanda Rice garnered an All-American Honorable mention selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), as announced by the organization Wednesday morning.
The Lemont, Illinois native becomes just the fourth person in program history to earn an All-American nod, joining Pack Pros Kylie Pickrell, Julia Brown, and Megan Cyr.
The opposite hitter earned the honor after being tabbed an AVCA All-Region and Second Team All-ACC selection earlier this month for the second year in a row..
Rice had a marvelous 2024 campaign, starting all 29 matches. She eclipsed the 1,000 career kill mark earlier this season against 10th-ranked SMU, becoming the only active player to do so.
She finished the season recording double-digit kills in 20 of 29 matches and three matches with 20+ kills. She inked her first career double-double (19 kills, 20 digs) in the Nov. 27 win over Miami.
