Healy and Karamoko Earn All-South Region Honors

RALEIGH – NC State men's soccer features athletes on the All-South Region Teams for the first time since 2019 after Taig Healy and Hakim Karamoko were named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA D1 Men's All-South First and Second Teams.
Junior midfielder Taig Healy and sophomore forward Hakim Karamoko have added to their postseason honors for the 2024 season. The two were both named as part of the All-ACC Second Team back in November.
Karamoko earns All-South First Team honors by closing out the season leading the Pack in goals and points with seven and 16 total, respectively. The New York native also finished third on the team in shots taken with 42. Throughout the regular season he played in all 16 regular season games with 11 starts while collecting two assists. In the three NCAA Tournament games, he started on the pitch for each game, totaling sevens shots taken. This week he was invited to the 2024 MLS adidas College Showcase in San Diego.
Healy was also named to the All-South Second Team after tallying six goals and three assists so far this year during the regular season. The New Hampshire transfer quickly put himself on the map to start the season and was eventually named to TopDrawerSoccer's Top-100 Midseason Watch List at No. 65. Five of his goals came from the first nine games of the 2024 slate, including opponents such as High Point, James Madison, and Duke. In the three NCAA Tournament games, he picked up three more assists bringing his season total to six, playing a crucial part in allowing his team to score. Most notably, he assisted both goals in the shutout second round win over fourth-seeded Georgetown on the road. He finished the season leading his team with 56 shots taken, 21 of which were on goal.
