LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior opposite Amanda Rice earned her second consecutive All-Region nod as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Tuesday morning.
Rice becomes just the sixth student-athlete in program history to earn All-Region honors twice in their career.
The Lemont, Illinois native had a stellar 2024 campaign, starting all 29 matches and helped lead the Wolfpack to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2017. She eclipsed the 1,000 career kill mark earlier this season against 10th-ranked SMU, becoming the only active player to do so.
She finished the season recording double-digit kills in 20 of 28 matches and three matches with 20+ kills. She inked her first career double-double (19 kills, 20 digs) in the Nov. 27 win over Miami.
Rice also earned All-ACC Second Team honors this season.
