
NC State Set To Take On Georgia Bulldogs in Athens, Ga.

RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State swimming and diving team will be traveling to Athens, GA to go head to head against the No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs. The Pack will be competing in a two day dual meet taking place Nov. 8-9 at the Gabrielsen Natatorium.
ÂThe two-day meet begins with the Bulldogs Swimapalooza event on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m., followed by a traditional meet on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. Both meets are free to the public and will stream live on SEC Network+.

The Pack head into it's second dual meet after coming off of a split against the Arizona State Sun Devils on Oct. 25. The Wolfpack women came out hot, securing a 222-131 win over the Sun Devils.Â
ÂCollectively the Pack head into this week's meet with 44 top-ten finishes in the NCAA. The Wolfpack women lead the NCAA with the fastest times in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, and 400 medley relay after the Wolfpack's first meet against Arizona State. Freshman Erika Pelaez had a standout performance for the Pack in its match-up against the Sun Devils. Making her college debut, the freshman broke the school record in the women's 200 freestyle as well as the pool record in the women's 200 backstroke. This performance led Pelaez to be named ACC swimmer of the week, her first ACC honor since joining the Pack.

The Wolfpack started off the season in the polls with the men clocking in at the No. 5 spot in the CSCAA rankings. The women follow behind at the No. 12 spot in the rankings.Â
ÂScouting the Bulldogs:
The Bulldogs head into its fourth meet on 2024-25 agenda with a 3-1 record. This matchup will be the Bulldogs second home meet of the season after hosting the Florida Gators November 1 in Athens, Ga. The Gators gave Georgia its first loss of the season after winning with a score of 142-158. Both men's and women's teams posted six wins against the Gators. Multiple Bulldogs made an appearance in the SEC Swimming and Diving athletes of the week in the week of Oct. 22. Redshirt senior Luca Urlando, Freshman Elliot Woodburn, Sophomore Leva Maluka, and Freshman Samantha Rydzewski were all featured on the weekly honors.
