Wolfpack Set to Host Six in GAC Invite

RALEIGH, N.C.- The Wolfpack will be back in action this week, as the squads will play host to six teams at the Wolfpack Elite GAC Invite at Greensboro Aquatic Center. The competition will begin Thursday, Nov. 21, and will conclude Saturday, Nov. 23. Prelims will start at 9:30 a.m. and the finals will begin at 5:30 p.m. each night.
Joining the Pack in Greensboro will be Arizona State, Arizona, Virginia Tech, Northwestern, Army, and Duke. Admission is free.

The Wolfpack women have won the last two GAC Invites, totaling 1964 points for a first-place finish last season. The Pack men took second in 2024 with a total of 1806 points.
In the CSCCA rankings this week, the Wolfpack women moved up to the No. 5 spot after being ranked No. 12. The Wolfpack men moved down two spots, and are ranked No. 6 heading into this week's competition.
Last week, the ACC honored three members of the Pack in its weekly honors. Elisabeth Rockefeller, Leah Shackley, and Daniel Diehl all earned their first ACC honors last week after their performance against the Georgia Bulldogs. Rockefeller was recognized as female Diver of the Week, and Diehl and Shackley were named male and female Swimmers of the Week respectively.
NC State goes into its third meet of its 2024-25 slate boasting one of the fastest rosters in the country. The Wolfpack men currently hold 19 individual top 10 fastest times in the NCAA. Diehl leads the men with three individual top 10 times in the 200 back, 100 IM, and 200 IM. Sam Hoover and Quintin McCarty represent the Pack with the second-fastest times in the NCAA. Hoover leads in the 100 IM, and McCarty in the 50 free. Luke Miller also holds the fifth fastest time in the 50 and 100 fly. Drew Salls, Jerry Fox, Kaii Winkler, Chase Mueller, Owen Llyod, Lance Norris, and JT Ewing appear in the top 10 for their respective events.
On the women's side, the Wolfpack women hold 13 top 10 NCAA individual times. Freshman Erika Pelaez currently leads the Pack with the top five times in four events (100 free, 200 free, 100 back, and 200 back). Shackley has three top five times ( 200 back, 100 fly, and 100 back). Veteran Kennedy Noble holds the fifth and eighth fastest times in the 100 back and 200 IM. Last week Tyler Driscoll recorded the fourth-fastest time in the 50 free in her appearance against the Bulldogs.
