
No. 23 Wolfpack Faces No. 10 SMU for Senior Night

RALEIGH, N.C. – 23rd-ranked NC State men's soccer faces 10th-ranked SMU Saturday night for its second straight ranked match-up at home. Senior night festivities will take place prior to the 6 p.m. kick-off at Dail Soccer Stadium.

Series History (tied 1-1-0)
• Saturday's match marks only the third meeting between the Wolfpack and the Mustangs. With SMU joining the ACC, this marks the first conference battle between the two.
• The most recent game with NC State and SMU was in 2011 at a neutral location where the Pack won 1-0 in overtime.
Quick Notes
• The Wolfpack entered the week three and four rankings (United Soccer Coaches Poll) at No. 24 and No. 18, respectively, for the first time since the 2019 season. After tying No. 2 Stanford and No. 24 Virginia Tech both on the road, it rejoined the rankings at 23rd in the nation on Oct. 15.
• NC State was picked to finish 11th in a competitive Atlantic Coast Conference that features five of the nation's preseason top 10 teams.
• After week eight of the season and six weeks into conference play, the Pack lands at 11th in the ACC standings.
• The ACC holds seven teams ranked nationally in the top-25 (No. 2 Stanford, No. 4 Pitt, No. 7 North Carolina, No. 8 Clemson, No. 10 SMU, No. 11 Duke, and No. 23 NC State)
• The Wolfpack earned a victory in their first ACC game by a 2-1 score on Sept. 6th at home. It marked the first-ever game for any Cal sport to play as a member of the ACC.
• A 7-0 win over Winthrop in Raleigh marked the first time the program has scored seven goals since September of 1996.
• Taig Healy, a transfer brought from New Hampshire in the midfield, leads the Wolfpack in goals and points, and is second in shots through the first 10 games. He was named to the USL2 Team of the Year from his time with the Seacoast United Phantoms over the summer.
• Goalkeeper, Logan Erb, was named an ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 8 after shutting out No. 2 Stanford on the road and recording five saves in the game.

• Forward, Hakim Karamoko is ranked eighth in the ACC in shots with 33 total taken and a 2.75 shot per game average.
• Goalkeeper, Logan Erb is second in the ACC in save percentage at .786, is seventh in goals against average with .952, and fifth in saves per game with an average of 3.14.
