
Women’s Tennis to Play in ITA Carolina Regional Preview

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team is set for its third fall tournament of the season with the ITA Carolina Regional Preview. The Tournament is set to take place from Thursday, Oct. 17 to Monday, Oct. 21.
Six NC State players will play in singles and doubles, with each of them set to play in the main draw. The matches will be played at the outdoor and indoor courts at the Chewning Tennis Center. The tournament gives student-athletes from schools in North Carolina and South Carolina to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Waco, Texas from Nov. 19-24. The top two singles finalists and doubles champion will automatically qualify for NCAA Individual Championships.

Gabriella Broadfoot, Jasmine Conway, Gabia Paskauskas, Kristina Paskauskas, Mia Slama and Maddy Zampardo are set to compete in singles play. After winning the ITA All-American Doubles Championship, which earned the tandem All-America status and a ticket punched to Waco, Broadfoot and Zampardo team up again in doubles and receive a bye in the first round of 64. Kristina Paskauskas and Conway also received a bye in the first round and Slama and Gabia Paskauskas will play in the first round.
Admission to the ITA Carolina Regional Preview is free and set to begin at 9 a.m. each day. A live stream is also available HERE.
NC State will play back in Chapel Hill at the ITA Sectional Championships a few weeks later from Thursday, Nov. 7 to Sunday, Nov. 10 for a final chance to automatically qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
