BLACKSBURG, Va. – No. 3 NC State women's basketball (14-0, 2-0 ACC) will play its second game in a row against a ranked opponent as it makes a Sunday afternoon visit to No. 13 Virginia Tech (11-2, 2-0 ACC).
Tip-off between the Wolfpack and the Hokies is set for noon from Cassell Coliseum, and the game will be televised nationally on the ACC Network. Live radio coverage will also be available on WKNC 88.1 FM in Raleigh and on the GoPack and Varsity Network apps.

SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 26-4)
- Sunday marks the 31st overall meeting between NC State and Virginia Tech. The teams have faced off at least once every season since the Hokies joined the ACC in 2004-05.
- The Wolfpack has been ranked in 15 previous matchups with Virginia Tech and has a 13-2 record in those meetings.
- Sunday's game will be the fourth time that NC State and Virginia Tech square off while both ranked in the AP Top 25. The Pack is 2-1 in such games.
- This matchup marks the 12th straight meeting between NC State and Virginia Tech during which at least one of the two teams is ranked in the AP Top 25.
- NC State played Virginia Tech for the first time in its inaugural season as a varsity team, winning that Feb. 18, 1975 road game by a 70-67 score.
- The Pack last met the Hokies in Blacksburg on Feb. 19, 2023, with Virginia Tech winning that game 75-62.
- The Hokies have won each of the last two games in the series between the squads. It marked their first time sweeping a season's meetings with the Wolfpack and first time winning back-to-back games over NC State.
- The Pack's last win over Virginia Tech was in the 2022 ACC Tournament semifinal. NC State beat the Hokies 70-55 en route to winning its third-straight ACC Tournament title that year.
- NC State is 11-2 in its previous 13 trips to Blacksburg.
- The Wolfpack's last win in Cassell Coliseum was in the 2021-22 regular-season finale on Feb. 27, 2022. NC State won that game by a 68-66 score.
- NC State is 13-4 against Virginia Tech under the leadership of Coach Moore.
- The Pack has gone to overtime against the Hokies on four occasions and is 3-1 in those games. Virginia Tech won the teams' most recent overtime battle on its home court on Jan. 28, 2021.

- The Wolfpack is one of five remaining unbeaten teams in NCAA Division I women's basketball and one of eight unbeaten teams across men's and women's hoops.
- The Pack's 14-0 record to start the year is tied as the second-best undefeated start to a season in program history.
- NC State has six players averaging double figures in scoring —Aziaha James (15.7), Saniya Rivers (13.2), Madison Hayes (11.3), Mimi Collins (11.0), River Baldwin (10.9) and Zoe Brooks (10.4). The Pack is the only team in the nation that has six active players with such averages.
- Both Baldwin (17.5 points, 10.0 rebounds) and Rivers (11.0 points, 11.0 rebounds) are averaging double-doubles early in league action this season.
- Five different players have led NC State in scoring this season (Baldwin, Collins, Hayes, James, Rivers).
- The Wolfpack is ranked in the national top 25 in: defensive rebounds per game (2nd - 34.6), field-goal percentage defense (4th - .324), total rebounds per game (7th - 47.3), rebound margin (12th - +12.5), blocks per game (18th - 5.4), fewest fouls per game (18th - 13.5), free throws made per game (19th - 15.9) and scoring margin (19th - +21.7).
