Napoleon Named ACC Freshman of the Week

RALEIGH - After a record-breaking performance this past weekend at the Camel City Invitational, first-year runner Angelina Napoleon has been named the ACC Women's Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
The honor comes her way after she broke the school record for the 800m last weekend in Winston-Salem. She clocked in at 2:07.46 to take first place and establish a new NC State indoor record for the event.Â
Napoleon's impressive performance came just eight days after taking down the school record for the 600m at the Hokie Invitational last weekend with a fifth-place finish of 1:33.78.
Since making her collegiate indoor track & field debut back in December, Napoleon has finished inside the top-five in three out of the four races in which she has competed.
