SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 34-17)
- Thursday marks the 52nd overall meeting between NC State and Florida State. With the exception of the 2020-21 COVID season, the teams have faced off at least one every season since 1991-92.
- The Pack last met the Seminoles in Tallahassee on Jan. 12, 2023, with Florida State winning that game 91-72. That 19-point difference was the Pack's largest margin of defeat in 2022-23 ACC play.
- Prior to that contest, NC State was on a five-game winning streak over the Seminoles. The Pack has won five of the last six games and seven of the last nine in the series between the squads.
- NC State is 17-7 when playing against Florida State on its home court.
- The Pack is 8-4 against the Seminoles under the leadership of Coach Moore.
- NC State has been ranked in 22 previous matchups with Florida State and has a 17-5 record in those meetings. The Pack has only been ranked in the top five for two of those matchups, one a 62-58 win in 1999-2000 and the other a 68-48 victory in 2021-22. NC State was ranked third nationally in both of those games.
- Thursday's game will be the seventh time that NC State and Florida State square off while both ranked in the AP Top 25. The Pack is 5-1 in such games.
NOTING THE WOLFPACK
- The Wolfpack is one of seven remaining unbeaten teams in NCAA Division I women's basketball and one of 10 unbeaten teams across men's and women's hoops (numbers through Jan. 1 games).
- NC State has six players averaging double figures in scoring —Aziaha James (15.5), Saniya Rivers (13.3), Madison Hayes (11.0), Mimi Collins (11.0), River Baldwin (10.5) and Zoe Brooks (10.0). The Pack is the only team in the nation that has six active players with such averages.
- James' scoring average continues to pace the Pack and is ranked ninth among all ACC players this season. The junior guard has scored 10+ points in all but two games in 2023-24.
- Rivers also ranks among the top 20 ACC players in scoring average this year while also owning top-10 league marks in assists per game, assist-to-turnover ratio and steals per game to lead NC State in all three of those categories.
- Baldwin (7.8) leads the way for four Pack players who average 6+ rebounds per game. That kind of rebound balance is also unmatched nationally.
