Wolfpack Faces Tar Heels, Cavaliers in Weekend Tri-Meet

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 4/No. 8 NC State men's and women's swimming and diving teams will face NR/No. 15 North Carolina and No. 1/No. 18 Virginia this weekend in a two-day tri-meet.
The weekend's competition kicks off Friday, January 19, with diving starting at 2 p.m. and swimming at 5 p.m. in Charlottesville and will resume with diving at 10 a.m. and swimming at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 20.

The meet marks the second ACC competition of the season after both the men and women defeated Duke back in November. The No. 8 Wolfpack Women are 3-1 on the season, with last time out taking first place at the NC State/GAC Invite. The No. 4 Wolfpack men took second in the NC State/GAC Invite and had wins over Duke and Georgia, with their only loss coming to No. 1 Arizona State.
The No. 1 ranked Virginia women are undefeated this season, bringing a 7-0 record into the weekend. During their last time out, the Cavilers defeated Virginia Tech. The men come in at 2-2 with second-place finishes from Tennessee Invite.

Last time out, No. 20 UNC women posted a 211-83 victory over UNC Asheville, and the Carolina men took down No. 24 SMU, 184-114. The Carolina men are 3-0 in dual meet competition, and the women are 2-0-1.
