RALEIGH – No. 6 NC State women's basketball (14-1, 2-1 ACC) will take on Virginia (8-6, 0-3 ACC) for the second time in a less than two week span as it welcomes the Cavaliers to Raleigh on Thursday evening to round out this season's home-and-home series between the two squads.
Tip-off between the Wolfpack and the Cavaliers is set for 7 p.m. from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum. Doors open at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACCNX, and live radio coverage will also be available on WKNC 88.1 FM in Raleigh and on the GoPack and Varsity Network apps.
Tickets for the matchup are sold out, but fans interested in attending can check SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan marketplace of the Wolfpack.

SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 42-41)
- Thursday marks the 84th overall meeting between NC State and Virginia. With the exception of the 2020-21 COVID season, the teams have faced off at least once every season since the Pack's first as a varsity squad in 1974-75.
- This is the second of two regular-season meetings between the Wolfpack and the Cavaliers. NC State won the first matchup of the year in Charlottesville, beating Virginia by a 72-61 score. That victory pushed the overall series in NC State's favor.
- Last year, the teams split games and each won on their home court.
- NC State has won seven of the last eight games over Virginia.
- The Cavaliers last won in the second of two meetings between the squads last year, snapping a six-game winning streak that NC State previously had over the Virginia. UVA won that contest, played in Charlottesville, by a 71-59 score.
