RALEIGH, NC – NC State will look to go 7-0 at home on Sunday.
Standing in the way of that accomplishment is No. 15 Notre Dame. The Pack (6-4) and Fighting Irish (5-1-3) will meet at 7 pm at Dail Soccer Stadium. The match will air on ACCNX.
Including their three exhibitions, NC State has won nine consecutive home games. In the regular season the Pack has outscored its opponents 15-3.Â
NC State has hosted just one ACC opponent so far this season. George Kiefer knows Sunday will be a big one for his team.
"It's going to be an excellent game to compete in," Kiefer said. "Everyone in the locker room will be buzzing. I look forward to the match. For sure your grit is going to be measured against Notre Dame. Throw the tactics out the window, the competing piece of it, I'm looking forward to that."
LAST TIME OUTÂ
NC State fell behind 1-0 to Gardner-Webb, but scored three unanswered for the 3-1 win. Freshmen Lawson Abass and Hakim Karamoko scored consecutive goals, followed by a trick shot from Scotty Taylor to take a 3-1 lead at the break.
