Wayand, Borisiouk heading to Chapel Hill for UNC Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, NC – NC State's Joe Wayand and Martin Borisiouk will take the short trip to Chapel Hill this weekend to participate in the UNC Tom Chewing Invitational.

It will be the second fall event for the Pack in 2023 and will take place September 22-24.

Last weekend four members of the team traveled to South Carolina for the Gamecock Ranked + 1.

Borisiouk went 2-2 in singles play last weekend. His highlight was a win over No. #62 Max Westphal (Columbia), 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 on day two of the event.

This will be the first fall action for Wayand, who finished as an All-American in doubles competition a year ago. Wayand went 6-3 in singles play last year. Borisiouk went 3-2 in limited action.

Action will begin at 9 am each day. Participating schools will include North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Furman, VCU and NC Central.
