Wolfpack Take Home Seven Ranked Victories to Open Fall Schedule

RALEIGH, N.C. – The first fall weekend of the 2023-24 tennis season was underway this past weekend, seeing nine Women's tennis team members compete in the Debbie Southern Invitational and the UNC Invitational.
Across the two invitationals, the Wolfpack saw seven ranked singles wins led by Gina Dittmann, who had two, which included a win over No. 17 ranked Tomase of Tennessee. Amelia Rajecki, Sophie Abrams, and Abigain Rencheli all return this season looking for another big year for the Wolfpack, all starting the season with ranked wins.
Making their debut for NC State were Maddy Zampardo, Gabriella Broadfoot, and Reya Lee Coe. Zampardo saw a rank win over #70 Wolfberg of Tennessee, while Broadfoot managed a win against #49 Chekhlystova of Penn State. Coe picked up her first win of her collegiate career, defeating McClure of UNC 6-4, 7-5.

NC State will come back close to home Sept. 21-24 to host the College Ranked Spotlight at the Cary Tennis Park. This will be the third consecutive year the Pack will host the Wolfpack Invitational/Ranked Spotlight. More information relating to the format of the competition and the field of teams will be announced later in the week.
