Hunter Tapp and Owen Lloyd return from LEN U23 Championships

DUBLIN, Ireland – It was another successful weekend of competition for a pair of NC State swimmers as Hunter Tapp and Owen Lloyd represented Team USA from the Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre in Dublin, Ireland.
Tapp started day one of the competition off strong, claiming gold in the men's 200 backstroke and setting a personal best with a time of 1:56.45.
The Louisville, Ky. native went on to appear in the men's 100 backstroke finals on the final day, where he placed eighth with a time of 54.73
Lloyd followed, setting his own personal bests on the final day of competition with two new best times in the men's 400 IM and the men's 200 IM. With a time of 4:16.91 in the 400 IM, Lloyd finished fifth in the preliminaries. His time of 2:04.51 in the 200 IM preliminaries placed him 24th.
