NC State Ready To Compete At Liberty Twilight Qualifier

RALEIGH - The NC State track and field team is traveling to Lynchburg, VA to compete in the Liberty Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday, May 3.

The program is coming off of a successful weekend in which it competed in the Penn Relays and Charlotte Invitational.
Gavin Gaynor opened up action in Philadelphia on Thursday night by winning the men's 1500m with a PB time of 3:40.24.Â
The final day of competition proved to be the most successful for the Pack, as it collected a school record and three event victories. Jamar Davis secured the second NC State victory at Penn Relays after winning the men's long jump with his mark of 7.42m.Â
In Charlotte, Katie Horne shattered the school record for the women's javelin throw for the second week in a row. She claimed first place with her throw of 44.97m. Caroline Lewis also represented the Wolfpack in the Queen City, clocking in at 2:14.63 to win the women's 800m.
