Men's Golf Heads to Pinehurst for ACC Championship

PINEHURST, N.C. - The NC State men's golf team closes the regular season this weekend when it plays in the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Golf Championship set for April 21-24 at the Country Club of North Carolina.Â
The format includes three rounds of stroke play on Friday and Saturday followed by match play semifinals on Sunday and match play finals on Monday. North Carolina is the top seed for this year's event, and Wake Forest enters as the defending champion.
This is the eighth time that Pinehurst has played host to the ACC Men's Golf Championship and the second time at the Country Club of North Carolina, which first hosted in 1966.
The first round Friday begins at 7:30 a.m. with continuous play throughout the day for the second round. The third round on Saturday begins at 9 a.m. Match play semifinals on Sunday and finals on Monday begin at 9 a.m.
Spectators are allowed at the ACC Men's Golf Championship and it is not a ticketed event. Parking will be available just outside of the main gate, with a shuttle service to the clubhouse.
The semifinals and finals of the ACC Men's Golf Championship match play will be televised live on ACC Network Extra from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Ryan Burr (play-by-play) and Steve Scott (analyst) will provide the call. A championship recap show will air May 1 at 9 p.m. on ACCN.Â
