Gymnastics Hosts Rutgers for Senior Day

RALEIGH – The NC State gymnastics team returns to Reynolds Coliseum for the final time in 2023 on Saturday, Mar. 4 as the Wolfpack will host Rutgers on senior day.
The Pack enters Saturday's contest having most recently posted a 196.275 in a tri-meet at LIU with Temple on Feb. 26. The meet was highlighted by NC State registering a season-high 49.425 on floor that marked the Pack's highest total in the event since 2018.
Chloe Negrete anchored the Pack's third rotation by matching her career-high score of 9.950, while Emily Shepard and Lauren Rutherford each tied their career-high marks of 9.925 and 9.900, respectively. Negrete's floor effort as well as a 9.900 on vault and a 9.825 on beam was enough to earn honors as EAGL Specialist of the Week for the second time in 2023 and the fourth time of her career.
Rutgers enters Saturday's meet having most recently competed in a five-team meet at Nebraska. The Scarlet Knights fired a 195.225 while competing alongside Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Ohio State highlighted by a 49.225 on beam.
Saturday's competition is slated to begin at 2 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum, with a broadcast available on the ACC Network Extra.
