SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 13-1)
- Wednesday marks the 15th overall meeting between NC State and Elon. This marks the fourth season in a row that the teams have faced off during the non-conference portion of their seasons.
- Every matchup between the Wolfpack and the Phoenix has been a home game for NC State.
- The teams met for the first time on Nov. 18, 2000 and most recently faced off in the second game of the Pack's 2022-23 season.
- NC State has won six games in a row in the series with Elon. That streak started with a 70-57 win on Dec. 16, 2017.
- Elon's lone victory in the series was a 60-66 win on Dec. 13, 2015. That game was played at Broughton High School during the Reynolds Coliseum renovation, so the Pack remains unbeaten against the Phoenix when playing in Reynolds.
- NC State has a margin of victory as large as 44 (84-40 on Nov. 18, 2000) and as narrow as 13 (70-57 on Dec. 16, 2017 and 62-49 on Dec. 15, 2019).
- NC State and Elon last played on Nov. 10, 2022 with the Pack securing the 34-point (89-55) victory in that contest.
QUICK HITS
- The Wolfpack is coming off an upset of No. 2 UConn as it defeated the Huskies 92-81 on Sunday afternoon in front of a sold-out Reynolds Coliseum crowd. NC State went ahead for good in the third quarter and led for the final 15:47 of the contest.
- NC State returned to the AP Top 25 for the first time in six weeks/polls. The Pack, which started the season as the No. 27 team receiving votes, jumped 13 spots to No. 14.
- Saniya Rivers was named NCAA Player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week after averaging 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in a pair of Wolfpack wins last week. She was the first player in the last 25 years to post 30+ points, 10+ rebounds and 5+ assists against UConn.
- NC State is one of six teams in Division I women's basketball and one of just three Power Five teams (Virginia Tech, FSU) to have two players average 20+ points per game. Rivers and Aziaha James each average 22.0 points to combine for 44.0 points per game.
- Freshman Zoe Brooks joins Jakia Brown-Turner (2019-20) as the only two Wolfpack rookies in 11 years of the Moore era to score 10+ points in their first two games.
- Mimi Collins enters Wednesday's game having scored 972 points in four completed campaigns (239 of those tallied with the Pack). She is 28 points away from the 1,000 career point mark.
