RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State gymnastics head coach Kim Landrus announced the Wolfpack's 2024 schedule on Friday with the upcoming season marking the inaugural year of ACC competition for the program.
The Pack's 2024 slate is highlighted by a combined six dual meets against fellow ACC foes Clemson, North Carolina and Pittsburgh, while its nonconference slate includes matchups against five programs that finished in last year's RoadToNationals Top 25 rankings.
Before opening its 2024 regular season slate, the Pack will host its annual Red and White Exhibition at Reynolds Coliseum on Dec. 17. NC State will then open its 2024 campaign with an away dual meet against Georgia on Jan. 6. The Pack returns to Stegeman Coliseum for the first time since advancing to the NCAA Regional Final in 2021 while ending the year ranked No. 15.
The Wolfpack's premier nonconference meet will take place at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, as part of the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad on Jan. 13. NC State will meet BYU, Cal and Michigan State at the event, all of which qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2023.
The Pack will open league competition at North Carolina for the second straight season with NC State meeting the Tar Heels on Friday, Jan. 19. When the Wolfpack visited Carmichael Arena in 2023, the team walked away with a program record for the highest score in a season-opener with a 195.525.
NC State is set to continue its ACC slate with a dual meet against Pittsburgh on Jan. 26, the first chance Wolfpack fans can see NC State in action in Reynolds Coliseum. The Pack's home opener will be on a Friday night with the first rotation scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Wolfpack will face Clemson for the first time in program history on Feb. 2 when NC State travels to Littlejohn Coliseum for the first time. The 2024 campaign will mark the Tigers' first season with a gymnastics program, and Clemson is set to visit the Pack in Reynolds on Feb. 17.
Sandwiched between the Pack's two meets against the Tigers will be the second leg of NC State's two meets against North Carolina. The Wolfpack hosts the Tar Heels on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 4 p.m.
NC State closes its six-meet stretch of ACC dual meets on Feb. 25 when the Wolfpack visits Pittsburgh at the Panthers' Fitzgerald Field House.
The Pack will compete in four meets in less than two weeks in March. The first is a quad meet against Iowa State, Northern Illinois and Temple on March 2 in Reynolds Coliseum. NC State will then face Temple once again on the road on March 7 in dual meet fashion, while the Pack will close out its five-meet home slate on March 10 with a Senior Day quad meet against Penn, Penn State and Texas Woman's University.
NC State concludes its regular season in a tri-meet at Florida, consisting of the Wolfpack, the Florida Gators, who were national runner-ups in 2023, and former EAGL foe LIU.
The inaugural ACC Championship meet will be held on March 23 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
NCAA Regional Championships are set to begin on April 3, which the Wolfpack has qualified for in every year of the Kim Landrus era when the tournament was held.
