Pack Returns to Reynolds to Host Eagles and Orange

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The NC State volleyball team will return to Reynolds Coliseum to host Boston College on Friday Nov. 3 and Syracuse on Sunday Nov. 5 for week seven of ACC play. Friday's meeting with the Eagles will begin at 7pm on ACCNX and Sunday's match with the Orange will start at 1pm, also on ACCNX.Â

- The Eagles will visit Reynolds Coliseum having won the last meeting, 3-2, in Raleigh
- NC State holds a 14-12 advantage over Boston College and hold an 8-6 record when playing in Reynolds Coliseum
- The Orange will visit Raleigh trailing the Pack 9-4 in series history
- The Wolfpack have only lost to the Orange twice (2021 and 2019) in the 10-year series history
- Junior opposite Amanda Rice surpassed her previous career high of 18 kills like it was just anotherday in the office
- In the five set loss at Duke, she tallied 27 kills on 50 attemps and finished hitting .440 on the evening
- She was the first member of the Pack since 2016 to record more than 26 kills in a five set match (Julie Brown recorded 31 in 2012 against Syracuse)
- The fire underneath her was still hot as she recorded 20 kills against Duke, less than 48 hours later
- Rice is the first member of the Pack since 2021 (Melissa Evans) to record back-to-back 20+ kill matches

- The squad's 10-1 record at home is the best start to the season since 2017 when the team went 12-0 in Reynolds Coliseum
- The 2023 squad as marked several milestones through the first 15 matches of the season
- Against Utah Valley on Aug. 26, the Pack rallied back from a 2-0 deficit to record a reverse sweep, which was the first time since 2015 this occurred
- The 11-1 record (matches through Sept. 22) was the best start to a season since 2015 and under head coach Luka Slabe
- The squads 10-match win-streak (matches from Aug. 26 to Sept. 22) was the longest since 2014 and with Slabe at the helm
- The win over No. 5 Louisville marked the first win over a top-five team, first win over a ranked team in Reynolds, and the second win over a top-25 team in program history
- NC State also received votes in the October 2 AVCA Coaches Poll (no record of this occurring before)
- In the first RPI ranking of the 2023 season (released on Oct. 3), the Pack ranked in at 27th, a program best, and was one of five ACC schools in the top-30
- The win at UNC was the first win for the Pack on the Tar Heels home court since 1997 (25 years!)
- Fifth year setter Kristen McDaniel recorded her 74th match with 20 or more assists in the Pack defeated UNC on Oct. 27
- She currently sits 256 assists away from 3K
