#10 Wolfpack Hosts Virginia Sunday Afternoon

RALEIGH – NC State women's hoops stays at home on Sunday afternoon as the 10th-ranked Wolfpack (12-3, 2-2 ACC) welcomes Virginia (13-2, 2-2 ACC) to Reynolds Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. on the ACC's Regional Sports Networks.

Tickets for the matchup are sold out, but fans interested in attending can check StubHub, the official fan-to-fan marketplace of the Wolfpack.

1998 REUNION
NC State women's basketball and NC State Athletics are honoring the upcoming 25th anniversary of the 1998 Final Four run at Sunday's game. Former players and staff from the 1997-98 squad will be recognized during a special halftime ceremony. In addition to the in-game recognition, the Pack is wearing special adidas uniforms that honor the history of Reynolds Coliseum and pay homage to the special moments that have occured on the team's home court.

NOTING THE WOLFPACK
• The Wolfpack ranks in the top 25 nationally in fewest fouls per game (7th - 12.8), three-point percentage (19th - .368), rebound margin (20th - +10.0) and rebounds per game (25th - 43.1).
• Two Wolfpack players average 10+ points - Diamond Johnson (14.3) and Jada Boyd (10.6).
• Diamond Johnson (18.0), Saniya Rivers (11.5) and Jada Boyd (10.0) each average double figures in scoring against ACC opponents. Rivers is the only one of those three players to have seen time in all four of the Pack's ACC games this season.
• Rivers has racked up a team-best 30 rebounds in ACC play to aver- age 7.5 per game. She has had six or more boards in each of those four outings.

SERIES HISTORY (Series tied 40-40)
• Sunday's game marks the 81st overall meeting between NC State and Virginia. Except for the 2020-21 COVID season, the teams have faced off at least once every season since the Pack's first as a varsity squad in 1974-75.
• The overall series record is tied at 40 wins for each team. A victory for the Wolfpack on Sunday would push the series in its favor for the first time since the 1990s.
• NC State is 21-17 against Virginia in Raleigh.
• The Pack is on a five-game winning streak over the Cavaliers. That streak started with a Jan. 13, 2019 road win. In those five wins, NC State has defeated Virginia by 28 points, 20 points, 11 points, 27 points and 23 points for an average margin of victory of 21.8 points.
• Virginia's last victory over NC State was also its last time beating the Wolfpack at home (Jan. 4, 2018). The Pack has won its last two home games against the Cavaliers.
• NC State is 8-2 against Virginia under the leadership of head coach Wes Moore.
• The Wolfpack and the Cavaliers last faced off in Charlottesville, Va., on Jan. 13, 2022. NC State won the second of two regular- season meetings between the squads by a 66-43 tally to secure the season sweep over Virginia.
