Murray State Will Serve as the Host
RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 12 NC State rifle team opens the spring portion of its 2022-23 schedule Saturday at Murray State's Withrow Open. The Pack will compete against Kentucky, Murray State, North Georgia, Memphis and UAB in this weekend's matchup.
The Wolfpack will begin shooting at 3 p.m. ET Saturday at the Racers' Pat Spurgin Rifle Range.
NC State was scheduled to compete in the Withrow Open this past season but did not travel due to inclement weather.
FALL RECAP
NC State finished the fall portion of its schedule with a 2-4 record. The Pack earned a pair of wins over ranked opponents in the fall with victories against No. 16 Army and No. 19 The Citadel.
NC State set new team bests in aggregate scoring (4,695) and smallbore (2,331) in a 4,695-4,448 win over The Citadel. The Pack then set a season-high in air rifle one day later against No. 10 Navy, finishing with an air rifle tally of 2,366 and an aggregate score of 4,693.

All four of NC State's setbacks this season have been to opponents ranked inside the CRCA Top 10 – then-No. 5 Kentucky, No. 6 Akron, No. 10 Navy and No. 5 West Virginia.
