#11 Wolfpack Visits #22 Tar Heels for Ranked Rivalry Matchup

RALEIGH – NC State women's basketball (13-4, 3-3 ACC) will make the short trip to Chapel Hill on Sunday afternoon to take on rival UNC (11-5, 2-3 ACC) for its second ranked matchup of the 2022-23 season. Tip-off between the 11th-ranked Wolfpack and the 22nd-ranked Tar Heels is set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN.

NOTING THE WOLFPACK
• The Wolfpack ranks in the top 30 nationally in fewest fouls per game (10th - 13.1), blocks per game (18th - 5.2), rebounds per game (25th - 42.5), rebound margin (27th - +8.4), field-goal percentage (30th - .458), three-point percentage (30th - .360) and fewest turnovers per game (30th - 13.4).
• Two Wolfpack players average 10+ points - Diamond Johnson (13.7) and Jada Boyd (10.0).
• NC State has three players averaging 9+ points per game overall and seven players averaging 7+ points per game.
• All of those women are shooting 37+ percent from the field this season. The Pack is one of five programs nationally (Baylor, Miami, Michigan State, Texas) that has seven players with those marks.
• The Wolfpack has stayed at .500 or better in ACC play this season. NC State has not fallen below that mark against conference opponents since the early phases of league play in 2017-18.

• Sunday's game marks the 116th meeting between NC State and North Carolina. The teams have faced off at least twice every season since the 1974-75 campaign, the Pack's first year as a varsity team.

• Sunday is the first of two regular-season dates between NC State and UNC. Last year marked the first time either team had swept the regular-season meetings since the 2017-18 campaign, with the Wolfpack winning both matchups.
