Pack Men's Soccer Takes on Hokies in First Home ACC Match of 2022

RALEIGH – After spending the majority of its time on the road the last three weeks, NC State men's soccer (2-3-1, 0-2-0 ACC) kicks off a three-match home stint on Friday night. The Wolfpack welcomes the Virginia Tech Hokies (1-5-1, 0-2-0 ACC) to Dail Soccer Stadium for its ACC home opener, with the match scheduled for a 7 p.m. kick off.
FAN INFORMATION
NC State men's soccer games are free of charge. Gates will open one hour prior to the start of the match. For Friday's match, NC State Athletics will be giving away a limited number of T-shirts and bam bam sticks, and there will also be a designated photo area on the concourse. SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 15-9-1)
• Friday marks the 26th overall meeting between NC State and Virginia Tech. The teams met for the first official time during the 1978 season, and the Wolfpack also won a 1959 matchup before the Hokies were a varsity team.
• NC State and Virginia Tech will face off for the first time since the 2018 campaign. That Sept. 21, 2018 match ended 1-0 in favor of the Pack in what was then a top-20 matchup, with Tanner Roberts scoring in the 55th minute.
• The Wolfpack is 8-4-0 when playing against the Hokies on its home field. The match marks NC State's third home game in a row in the series with Virginia Tech and its fifth in the last six matches against the Hokies.
