KANSAS CITY, Mo. – NC State women's soccer forward Jameese Joseph was named to the 2022 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, as announced by United Soccer Coaches Thursday morning.
Joseph, who United Soccer Coaches tabbed as a 2022 NCAA Division I Forward to Watch on Tuesday, is one of just 61 NCAA Division I college soccer players named to the 2022 Hermann Trophy Watch List.
The Hermann Trophy, presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club, is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by the voting of Division I coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.
Joseph was named to the Preseason All-ACC Team on Aug. 11 after earning Second Team All-ACC honors in 2021. The senior scored game-winning goals at No. 4 Duke and No. 3 North Carolina in 2021, helping NC State secure wins over the Blue Devils and Tar Heels in the same season for the first time in program history.
The Beltsville, Maryland native also earned 2021 United Soccer Coaches Atlantic All-Region First Team accolades and was tabbed a 2021 TopDrawerSoccer Top 100 Player, checking in at No. 81. Joseph started strong this past season, scoring goals in four of the Wolfpack's first five matches.
Joseph earned her first two international caps at any level when she played for the U.S. Under-20 Women's Youth National Team in May. She helped lead the United States to a pair of victories over Costa Rica.
