Pack Adds Hannah Goodwin to 2022 Signing Class

RALEIGH - The NC State softball program has added transfer Hannah Goodwin to its 2023 roster, as announced by head coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift on Friday.
Goodwin joins the team from Clemson where she spent three years on the Tiger squad.Â

She started 26 games at shortstop in 2020, leading the team and checking in at second in the ACC in batting average (.385). She additionally was second on the team and ninth in the conference in on-base percentage (.448).
The West Columbia, S.C., native hit the first home run in Clemson's program history on Feb. 7, 2020, sending in three runs to clinch a win over St. John's. She posted at least one hit in 22 of the 26 games she played in as a freshman. Goodwin sealed a victory for the Tigers with a home run in the top of the eighth inning against Stetson on Feb. 22, 2020.
During her freshman season, Goodwin strung together an eight-game hitting streak from Feb. 12-21, 2020 and followed it up with a nine-game hitting streak from Feb. 22-March 9, 2020. In that initial year with Clemson she combined for nine extra-base hits that included five doubles and four home runs.
Goodwin becomes the 12th member of the 2022 class, joining two fellow transfers as well as nine incoming freshmen.
