Joseph Earns First National Team Caps in Pair of Wins

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – NC State women's soccer's Jameese Joseph earned her first two international caps at any level as the U.S. Under-20 Women's Youth National Team's defeated Costa Rica in two friendly matches during a May 11-19 training camp at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center.
In the first match, Joseph was a 63rd minute substitute and was on the field for two of the three American goals with the USA adding to a 1-0 lead in the 72nd and 82nd minutes for a 3-0 win. In the second match, Joseph started and helped power the Americans to a 2-0 lead in the first 10 minutes en route to a 5-0 score line.
The USA and Costa Rica are both preparing for the 2022 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup, which Costa Rica will host from August 10-28.
