DOUBLES RECAP
The Wolfpack made quick work of doubles competition, winning both of its point-clinching matches with just one dropped game on each court.
Robin Catry and Yannai Barkai teamed up on court two, breaking to go up 3-1 and never looking back. The pair came away with a 6-1 defeat of Alvaro Ariza and Scott Sculley.
Similarly, Braden Shick and Collin Shick went up 3-1 and went on to defeat Carlo Donato and Matt Harper 6-1 to clinch doubles for NC State.
SINGLES RECAP
Braden Shick won his first set handily but found himself down 3-0 in the second. The redshirt freshman went on to win five straight games in the second set en route to a 6-3, 6-4 defeat of Sculley.
The Hokies were able to get on the board on court two as Ariza defeated Martins Rocens 6-2, 6-4.
Just a few minutes later, Fons Van Sambeek secured a win of his own on court five as he took down Michael Shepheard 6-2, 6-4.
The remaining three singles courts were close, all three heading to third sets, but in the end Damien Salvestre was the one to secure the win for NC State on court four, coming back from a dropped first set to take the 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win.
SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
North Carolina enters the ACC Championships as the three-seed. The Tar Heels are coming off a closely-contested win over NC State on April 17.
