NC State Falls in Series Finale

The Pack (21-12, 3-9 ACC) hit three home runs in the game but the Tar Heels (18-14, 4-4 ACC) strung together 13 hits to earn the series win.
Kaylee Lambrecht, Michele Tarpey and Sam Sack all tallied a home run apiece with Tarpey adding two RBI to her stat line. Logan Morris chipped in a 1-for-2 day at the plate with a double.
Maddie McPherson suffered the loss in the circle to move to 5-5 on the season after tossing 1.0 inning.
The Wolfpack seemed to be on track to have a great outing as Lambrecht hit a leadoff homer to start the game to put NC State up 1-0. The Tar Heels responded with a four-run first before plating 11 runs in the second to give them enough cushion for the win.
NC State tried to fight back as Sack hit her solo homer in the fourth before Tarpey went yard in the fifth, but the Pack was unable to keep the rally going.
