FAN INFO:
Attendance is free for all of NC State's home matches, and fans are required to wear masks for indoor competitions per NC State's University Community Standards. The weekend's matches will be played outdoors unless otherwise communicated.
LAST TIME OUT:
NC State most recently defeated third-ranked Texas on the road two weeks ago. The victory tied as the highest ranked win in program history and was even more impressive considering the contest being on the road and a rematch of last year's NCAA Final Four against the reigning national champion.
HOT START:
NC State is off to the best start in program history with an 11-1 record as it next turns to conference play. The Pack has defeated six nationally-ranked opponents in its first 12 matches, with a pair of those coming against top-three teams.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS:
The Wolfpack added to its already-large collection of historic moments by earning the highest ranking in program history on Feb. 23. NC State previously reached a No. 3 national ranking in March of 2020, which stood as its previous best mark ahead of the last two polls. NC State has been a mainstay in the top 15 since Feb. 26, 2019.
Four Wolfpack players were featured in the latest release of the national singles rankings - Jaeda Daniel (No. 9), Alana Smith (No. 20), Abigail Rencheli (No. 24) and Nell Miller (No. 112). The ranking marked the highest of Rencheli's career, and it was Miller's first time being ranked since she joined the NC State program.
In doubles, Daniel was ranked with both Miller (No. 16) and Smith (No. 47), and Rencheli and Amelia Rajecki checked in at No. 51.
COMING UP:
NC State will round out a four-match home stretch with another top-15 matchup against No. 15 Wake Forest on Tuesday, March 8. First serve is set for 2 p.m. from the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
