
Gymnastics Ready for EAGL Championship

RALEIGH - The top-seeded NC State gymnastics team is set to begin its postseason at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Championship Saturday, March 19 in Washington, D.C.
The team will compete in Session II at 6 p.m. with second-seeded Towson, third-seeded North Carolina and fourth-seeded George Washington.Â

LAST TIME OUT
The Pack closed out the regular season with a 195.950 on Senior Day. At the meet, Junior Emily Shepard broke the program record for career 9.9 marks with a 9.900 on beam. The score was the 24th of her career.
On floor, NC State continued a strong season. Gabrielle Diaz and Lauren Rutherford tied their career highs on the event, each posting a 9.900.
2021 EAGL CHAMPIONSHIP REWIND
NC State placed second at the 2021 EAGL Championship, scoring a 196.050. Eight members of the squad earned a combined 13 EAGL All-Tournament Team honors, nine of which were First Team accolades.
Shepard placed second on vault and in the all-around competition at the meet. Meredith Robinson also posted a podium finish for the Pack, placing third on bars.Â
