Jennings Garners EAGL Rookie of the Week Honors

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - NC State gymnastics freshman Macy Jennings has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The laurels are the first of Jennings' career.

The Apex, N.C., native attained a career-high score of 9.875 on beam in NC State's quad meet at Pittsburgh with West Virginia and Alaska - Anchorage. With the mark, Jennings was part of a tie for third place on the event, good for her first career podium finish.

Jennings currently is tied for the eighth-highest beam average in the EAGL with a score of 9.808.
