Shepard Tabs EAGL Co-Specialist of the Week Honors

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - NC State gymnastics Junior Emily Shepard has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Co-Specialist of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Shepard shares the honor with LIU's Mara Titarsolej.

The laurels come for Shepard after a meet against North Carolina in which she tied for second place on all three of her events (bars, beam, floor). The Olathe, Kan., native notched a 9.825 on bars and a pair of 9.875 marks on beam and floor.
With the scores at the dual meet, Shepard has scored 9.825 or higher on each event she has competed on for three consecutive meets. She ranks third in the EAGL on beam with a national qualifying score (NQS) of 9.865 and fourth on floor with an NQS of 9.830.
