No. 15 Rifle Travels to No. 9 Akron

RALEIGH – No. 15 NC State rifle will make its final regular season trip to Akron, Ohio to take on No. 9 Akron on Saturday morning.
Saturday's match will begin at 9 a.m. inside of the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range. Live results can be found on YouTube (smallbore | air rifle) and NCAARifle.org.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wolfpack nearly took down No. 14 Army, falling 4680-4665 on Jan. 17 in West Point, N.Y.
Both teams fired a 2355 air rifle score but Army edged NC State by just 15 points in smallbore (2325-2310) which was the difference maker in the match and allowed the Black Knights to earn their first win of the season.
Overall, Ben Salas was second individually in the match posting an 1170 aggregate score with Addy Burrow placing third, tallying an aggregate total of 1167.

Akron is coming off a nail-biting 4690-4689 win over then-No. 10 Ohio State in Akron on Jan. 30. Andre Gross led the charge for the Zips as he finished with the highest aggregate score of 1179 compiled by a 582 smallbore and match-best 597 air rifle score.
