Wolfpack Welcomes Elon to Raleigh Thursday Night

RALEIGH – No. 10 Wolfpack women's basketball continues early-season action at home with a matchup against Elon on Thursday night. Tip-off between NC State (1-0) and the Phoenix (0-1) is set for 7 p.m. from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum.
The game will be aired live on ACCNX, and the radio call is available on WKNC 88.1 FM in Raleigh.

Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to Thursday's game to donate to Feed the Pack (NC State's food bank). Items the pantry is currently in need of include: cereal, peanut butter, ramen, rice, pasta, soup. Donations will be collected at the gates beginning when doors open and going through the end of the first quarter.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the first 100 students in attendance at the game will receive a free Chick-fil-A sandwich. More information for fans can be found on the Women's Basketball Gameday Central page.
A WIN ON THURSDAY WOULD
• Be the 1,000th win in program history (999-478), making the Pack the 19th NCAA Division I program and the third ACC school to hit that mark
• Be head coach Wes Moore's 782nd career win (781-238)
• Be Moore's 224th win at NC State (223-69)
• Extend NC State's home winning streak to 13 games, a streak that started on Dec. 19, 2021 against Virginia
• Mark the Pack's 48th consecutive home win over an unranked non-conference opponent
• Extend the Pack's winning streak against Elon to six games
SEASON'S START
• NC State kicked off the 2022-23 campaign with a 37-point win over Quinnipiac, defeating the visiting Bobcats 82-45 in Monday night's season opener.
• The Wolfpack had three double-figure scorers against Quinnipiac - Jada Boyd (14), Camille Hobby (10) and Jessica Timmons (10).
• Timmons scored all of her career-high 10 points in the fourth quarter, and Hobby scored eight of her 10 in the first quarter.
• Boyd did not miss a shot on the night as she went 4-of-4 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe in just 20 minutes of action.
• Hobby and Diamond Johnson each posted a team-leading six rebounds. Three of Hobby's were off the offensive glass, and Johnson also led the team with three steals.
• As a team, the Wolfpack shot 29-of-62 (.468) overall, and the team posted a 50.0 percent clip (23-of-46) on two-point attempts.
• Four players posted +/- marks of over 20 - Timmons (+24), Madison Hayes (+23), Mimi Collins (+22) and Aziaha James (+22).

• Thursday marks the 14th meeting between NC State and Elon. This is the fifth season in a row that the teams have faced off during the non-conference portion of their seasons.
• Every matchup between the Wolfpack and the Phoenix has been a home game for NC State.
• NC State has won five games in a row in the series with Elon dating back to the 2017-18 campaign.
• Elon's lone victory in the series between the two teams was a 69-66 win on Dec. 13, 2015. That game was played at Broughton High School during the Reynolds Coliseum renovation, and the Pack remains unbeaten against the Phoenix when playing in Reynolds.
• NC State last played Elon on Dec. 5, 2021 and won that matchup by a 78-46 score.
