GREENSBORO, N.C. – After leading the Pack with eight goals and 18 points during the regular season, NC State senior forward Jameese Joseph has earned Third Team All-ACC honors, as announced by the league office Wednesday morning.
Joseph, a senior from Beltsville, Maryland, has now earned ACC honors for the third time in her standout career. The senior forward also earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors in 2019 and Second Team All-ACC honors in 2021.
In 2022, Joseph not only paced the Pack in goals (eight) and points (18), but she also recorded a team-high four game-winning strikes during the regular season. Joseph's four game-winning goals rank tied for first in the ACC.
Two days after netting a late game-winning strike against VCU, Joseph was named TopDrawerSoccer's National Player of the Week on Aug. 23. Joseph logged a goal and an assist between NC State's opening weekend victories over Rhode Island and VCU at Dail Soccer Stadium.
Less than a week after her game-winning goal against VCU, Joseph again provided late-game heroics to break a tie game at 0-0 against Campbell, slotting home a game-winner with just nine seconds left on the clock. Joseph's game-winner against the Fighting Camels was NC State's latest game-winning goal in regulation since Laura Scott's buzzer beater at Elon on Oct. 3, 2000.
Joseph also netted the game-winner in ACC victories against Wake Forest and at Clemson, scoring in the 84th minute and 74th minute, respectively, in the pair of Wolfpack victories.
The Beltsville, Maryland native has now logged 21 goals, nine assists and 51 points in her NC State career.
Next up for the Pack is the NCAA Tournament. Despite the ACC Tournament being reduced to six teams, typically eight to 10 teams from the league make the national tournament. The selection show is Monday, Nov. 7, at 4 p.m. on NCAA.com, and the NCAA First Round will be held Nov. 11-13 at select campus sites.
