RALEIGH – The Wolfpack men's soccer team (4-5-1) is set to make the trip to College of Charleston (4-4-3) on Tuesday night for a midweek, non-conference tilt. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. from Ralph Lundy Field and will be broadcast live on FloSports.
A WIN ON TUESDAY WOULD
• Be the 543rd win in program history (542-476-105)
• Be the 204th win in Kiefer's head coaching career (203-127-68)
• Be Kiefer's 42nd victory at NC State (41-41-17)
• Mark the Wolfpack's first true road victory of the season (0-3-0)
SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 6-1-0)
• Tuesday marks the eighth overall meeting between NC State and College of Charleston.
• It marks just the second time that the two teams will square off on the Cougars' home field. NC State came away with a 2-0 win at College of Charleston in the only other such meeting on Oct. 12, 1994.
• The Wolfpack and the Cougars are set to face each other for the first time since the 2019 campaign. In that most recent matchup, NC State picked up a 4-1 home win over College of Charleston.
• The Pack remains unbeaten in its last five matches against the Cougars. That streak started with that 1994 road win and also included victories in 2005 (3-1), 2014 (2-0), 2015 (2-0) and the previously mentioned 2019 match.
• NC State has scored at least two goals in each of its previous seven matches against the Cougars and averages 3.1 goals per game in those contests.
