
#8 Wolfpack Welcomes #23 Princeton, #10 Ohio State, ETSU for First 2022 Duals

RALEIGH – Eighth-ranked NC State women's tennis officially kicks off its 2022 dual match campaign at home this weekend with three matchups against No. 23 Princeton, (Saturday, Jan. 22), No. 10 Ohio State (Sunday, Jan. 23) and ETSU (Sunday, Jan. 23).
Saturday's match has been moved to a 2 p.m. start from the J.W. Isnehour Tennis Center. Sunday's start time against the Buckeyes is set for 12 p.m, and the match against ETSU will follow at 5 p.m. Attendance is free for all of NC State's home matches.
FAN INFO:
Fans are permitted to attend all home matches in the 2022 season and are required to wear masks for indoor competitions per NC State's University Community Standards. With the matches occuring over the weekend, parking on campus is free.
LAST TIME OUT:
NC State took on opponents from No. 1 Texas, No. 24 Miami and Vanderbilt last weekend at the Miami Spring Invite. The Wolfpack collected nine singles victories at the tournament.
Nell Miller went 3-0 in singles play in her NC State debut, and Sara Nayar also went unbeaten in her singles matches. Priska Nugroho played her first matches with the Wolfpack, adding a singles win on the final day of action.
Sophomores Abigail Rencheli and Amelia Rajecki also picked up singles wins over the weekend, with Rencheli's coming over a nationally-ranked opponent in No. 76 Isabella Pfennig of Miami.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS:
NC State maintained its spot at No. 8 as a team in the Jan. 19 release of the ITA Top 25. The Wolfpack has three players ranked in the national top 25 in singles - Jaeda Daniel (No. 8), Alana Smith (No. 24) and Rencheli (No. 25). Daniel and Smith are also ranked 21st nationally in doubles.
