Pack Ready for ACC Play

RALEIGH – NC State volleyball will begin Atlantic Coast Conference action this weekend, welcoming Virginia and No. 4 Pitt to Reynolds Coliseum.
The Pack opens ACC play against Virginia on Friday at 7 p.m. then will face No. 4 Pitt on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.

VIRGINIA MATCHUP
- The Pack will face the Cavaliers for the 71st time in program history
- Currently NC State is on a six-game winning streak dating back to Nov. 20, 2016 when the Wolfpack ended a three-game losing skid
- In the last outing on Oct. 24, 2020, the Wolfpack earned a hard-fought 3-1 (24-26, 25-21, 25-21, 25-18) win
- Overall, Virginia leads the series holding the 39-31 advantage
- Sunday's contest marks the 15th meeting between the Panthers and Wolfpack
- Pitt cruised to the straight-set win (25-6, 25-15, 25-12) on March 13, 2021 in the last meeting
- With the win, Pitt increased its win streak to four games and improved to 12-2 all-time against NC State
- Be the 753rd, 754th wins in program history (752-784)
- Be the third win against Virginia in the Luka Slabe era (3-0)
- Be the first win against Pitt in the Slabe era (0-1)
- Be the eighth and ninth ACC wins for Luka Slabe (7-9)

- NC State began the match on fire but could not hold on and dropped its non-conference finale to Arkansas, 3-0 (21-25, 16-25, 18-25) in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Friday night inside of Reynolds Coliseum
- Junior Jade Parchment led the way for the Pack with 10 kills and seven digs while freshman Jada Allen hit a solid .500 with seven kills and three blocks. Freshman Maggie Jones tallied 20 assists and a season-high tying eight digs
- NC State volleyball currently leads the ACC averaging 13.28 assists per set thanks to junior Kristen McDaniel posting 10.85 assists per set, third-most in conference and 24th in Division I
- Additionally, the Pack leads the conference in kills per set recording 14.49 per set, sixth-best in Division I
- Senior Jade Parchment (3.87), graduate student Melissa Evans (3.46) and junior Taylor Rowland (3.34) all sit in the top-10 in the ACC in kills per set, holding the fifth, ninth and 10th spots, respectively
- Friday is volleyball's #PackUnited game - Everyone who brings items to the toiletry drive will be entered to win NC State Volleyball swag that we will give out during the game
