Wolfpack will make trip to Bloomington on Dec. 2
GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State women's basketball will play its B1G/ACC Challenge game on the road for the first time since 2017-18 as it visits Indiana on Dec. 2 in the 2021 edition of the event.
The upcoming game inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind., will mark the sixth overall meeting between the Wolfpack and the Hoosiers. It is the second time that the teams have met in the B1G/ACC Challenge. NC State won an 84-70 home matchup between the teams in December 2016, but Indiana came away with the victory in the teams' most recent meeting in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 this past March. Overall, NC State owns the 4-1 series record over Indiana.
The Pack is riding a two-game winning streak in the Challenge with recent decisions over Maryland (2019-20) and Michigan (2018-19). The ACC owns a 9-1-3 overall record in the Challenge and has compiled a 94-70 game-by-game mark across its 16 member schools.
Both NC State and Indiana finished the 2020-21 campaign ranked in the national top 15 of the final Associated Press Top 25 poll. The scheduled matchup adds to an already-competitive slate of non-conference opponents for 2021-22. The Wolfpack is already set to face off against South Carolina, Maryland and Georgia, who also all finished last year ranked in the AP Top 10.
