NC State Women's Tennis Honored as ITA All-Academic Team

Eight players named 2021 ITA Scholar Athletes
TEMPE, Ariz. – The NC State women's tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team for the 2020-21 season, as announced by the organization on Monday morning.
The squad was honored after posting a 3.613 team GPA during the Spring 2021 semester and a 3.616 combined GPA during this most recent academic year as a whole
In addition to the team recognition, a program-best eight members of the Wolfpack squad were named 2021 ITA Scholar Athletes. Jaeda Daniel and Lana Mavor were honored for the second-straight season, while Lexi Keberle, Liz Norman, Amelia Rajecki, Adriana Reami, Abigail Rencheli and Anna Rogers were all named ITA Scholar Athletes for the first time in their careers.
Six players were named to the Dean's List for the most recent term, and Rencheli turned in a perfect 4.0 semester GPA. NC State has now had at least one player named an ITA Scholar Athlete in each of the last six seasons.
On the court, the Pack put together its best season in the program's 44-year history during which it reached its first-ever NCAA Championships semifinal and secured its best season-ending national ranking at No. 6. A program-best three players were named All-ACC honorees, and four Pack players earned All-America citations at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, also a program best.
In 2021, NC State compiled a 20-6 dual record, with those 20 victories ranking as the second-most in a single season in team history. Half of the Wolfpack's wins were against nationally-ranked opponents, and four of those 10 wins came versus top-10 squads.
To become an ITA Scholar Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year. Programs that were recognized as ITA All-Academic Teams must have posted a team GPA of at least 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale).
