#Pack9 Set To Host Elon Tuesday

RALEIGH – NC State baseball (22-14) is set to host Elon (16-18) Tuesday in a midweek contest at Doak Field at Dail Park. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. between the squads, and the game will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
There will additionally be a free audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the TuneIn App.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
With the recent updates to capacity guidelines for Doak Field at Dail Park, NC State Athletics is able to increase fan attendance for the remainder of the season. NC State student-athletes, NC State students and NC State baseball season ticket holders will all have increased allotments for upcoming games.
A full concessions menu on the first base side will be provided for fans. Both cash and credit card will be accepted. Fans are no longer permitted to bring in outside food but are still allowed to bring in an unopened bottle of water.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will be the 58th meeting between the Wolfpack and Phoenix, as NC State leads the all-time series, 44-13.
The teams last met on March 26, 2019 in Raleigh, and the Pack earned a dominant 21-2 win.
NC State has won seven of the last eight meetings between the squads, including the last four in which the Pack has outscored the Phoenix, 55-7.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State picked up its fourth series win of the season last weekend in its ACC matchup at Wake Forest. The weekend proved to be a slugfest as it earned a 13-7 win, highlighted by a season-high five homers, in the series opener, and then after being unable to overcome an early 8-0 deficit in its 14-11 loss in game two the Pack defeated the Demon Deacons, 15-8, with a season-high 20 hits on Sunday in the rubber match.
PACK POWER
In its series win at Wake Forest last weekend the Pack combined for 39 runs on 42 hits, including 11 homers. It marked the most runs scored in an ACC series since April 4-6, 2008 and the most hits in an ACC series since March 18-20, 2016 vs. Notre Dame.
MCDONOUGH NAMED NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tyler McDonough was named one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week on Monday afternoon after a big week at the plate. He batted .450 for the week with nine hits (four homers), eight RBIs, seven runs scored, a 1.050 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage.
McDonough is on a 53-game reached base streak dating back to last season, which is the longest currently held by a Division I player and it is the second-longest in program history since 1999. He is additionally on a six-game hit streak, which is highlighted by six of his team-leading 12 home runs on the year.
SCOUTING ELON
The Phoenix won its series with Charleston last weekend in its last time out thanks to 14-5 and 12-11 (11) victories in its first two games. The Cougars managed to come away with a 6-3 win in the finale to avoid the series sweep.
Elon is tied for first in the South Division of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) standings with an 8-7 record in league play.
Alex Iadisernia paces the offense with a .371 clip with 49 hits, nine doubles, nine homers and 24 runs batted in. He leads the CAA in hits and ranks T3rd in homers, T6th in doubles and RBIs, and ninth in batting average. As a team, Elon is batting .259 and is averaging 5.61 runs per game and 8.79 hits per game.
Projected starter Liam Dabagian will be making his fourth appearance and second start of the season Tuesday, as he owns a 9.00 earned-run average in 5.0 innings. Out of the bullpen, Joe Sprake is one of five pitchers with double-digit appearances as he leads the staff with 16. The pitching staff owns a combined 4.79 ERA, which ranks third among the CAA, and is averaging 9.26 strikeouts per game.
