Vicario Closes Out NCAA Regional Showing On High Note

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Monika Vicario of the NC State women's golf team closed out NCAA Regional play on a high note on Wednesday as she shot a four-over par 76 to post her best sore of the tournament and move four spots up the leaderboard to finish T73rd out of 96 players.
Hosted by Ohio State at Ohio State University Club's Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio, Vicario turned in a combined 234 (+18) over the course of the three-day tournament after posting scores of 78 and 80, respectively, in the first two rounds.
Vicario will leave NC State among the top of the record books, as her career scoring average of 74.42 (26 tournaments, 77 rounds) ranks second all-time. She also was the yearly stroke average leader the past three seasons for the Wolfpack.
