RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team (3-8-3) is set to hit the road for its regular-season finale as it travels to take on Boston College (1-3-0) on Friday. Kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m. from the Newton Campus Soccer Field.
Due to health and safety recommendations and COVID-19 protocols, all athletic events at Boston College are currently closed to the public.
A WIN FRIDAY WOULD...
• Be the 532nd win in program history (531-463-101)
• Be the 193rd win in head coach George Kiefer's career (192-114-64)
• Be Kiefer's 31st victory at NC State (30-28-13)
• Be Kiefer's 10th ACC win with the Pack (9-18-8)
TRACKING THE PACK
• NC State has played a stacked slate this season with six matches against teams ranked in the national top five. The Pack came away with the scoreless draw in two of those matchups.
• Kuda Muskwe and Ivy Brisma own the team lead in scoring with five points (two goals, one assist) apiece.
• Tal Segev, Pablo Pedgregosa, Alex Bautista and Aidan Foster have also found the back of the net this season. Pepe Garcia has assisted on a team-leading two goals.
• After returning from a 2019 injury, Leon Krapf has played every minute in goal in 2020-21. He has shut out five opponents this season and compiled a GAA of 1.21.
• The Pack has earned three victories this year - at home against UAB (2-0), on the road at VCU (1-0) and at home against Syracuse (2-1, 1OT).
LAST TIME OUT
• NC State wrapped up its 2020-21 home slate last Saturday with a 0-0 draw against visiting Duke. The teams battled through 110 scoreless minutes in what was their second overtime match against one another this season.
• The Blue Devils outshot the Pack 8-2, but both of NC State's shots on the night were on target. Segev and Alex Hernandez both tested Duke goalie Eliot Hamill in the second half, and Krapf made a 58th-minute save to ensure that Duke did not get on the board.
