
Baseball Returns Home Wednesday For Midweek Contest With North Carolina A&T

RALEIGH – NC State baseball (14-11) returns home Wednesday for a midweek contest with North Carolina A&T (9-23). First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Doak Field at Dail Park, and the game will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
There will additionally be a free audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the TuneIn App.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
With the recent updates to capacity guidelines for Doak Field at Dail Park, NC State Athletics is able to increase fan attendance for the remainder of the season. NC State student-athletes, NC State students and NC State baseball season ticket holders will all have increased allotments for upcoming games.
A full concessions menu on the first base side will be provided for fans. Both cash and credit card will be accepted. Fans are no longer permitted to bring in outside food but are still allowed to bring in an unopened bottle of water.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the 23rd time NC State and NC A&T have met, and the Wolfpack leads the all-time series, 22-0.
The teams last met on March 11, 2020, which was the last game before the season ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in Raleigh, and the Pack earned an 8-7 walk-off win thanks to J.T. Jarrett's 2-RBI single with the bases loaded.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State traveled to Boston College last weekend and earned a series sweep, its second of the season. The Wolfpack had a dominant 20-5 win in the opener on Friday, which marked the most runs scored against an ACC opponent since March 9, 2019 when it defeated Pittsburgh, 21-3, in Raleigh.
In game two, the Pack used a four-run seventh inning to rally back from a 4-1 deficit and earn a 5-4 win over the Eagles to clinch the series.
On Sunday, the squad shut out Boston College, 7-0, thanks to late scoring in each of the final three innings for the series sweep. Starting pitcher Matt Willadsen tossed the first complete game of his career, allowing just two hits and four walks in the contest.
ROAD WARRIORS
NC State remains perfect on the road with an 8-0 record. Impressively, it has swept both of its road ACC series (North Carolina and Boston College) this year.
NC State is one of three schools to currently own a perfect road record, as Southern Illinois (5-0) and Saint Joseph's (4-0) are also undefeated away from home this year.
GOING THE DISTANCE
NC State has had three pitchers throw a complete game this season, and two have done so in shutout fashion. The Pack is the only school in the ACC to have had two or more pitchers throw a complete game this year.
This is the first time since 2003 that the program has had at least three different pitchers go the distance in the same season, and first time since 2004 that two pitchers have done so in shutout fashion.
FLASHING THE LEATHER
NC State has compiled a .986 fielding percentage through 25 games, which ranks second in the ACC and in the NCAA.
The team has not recorded an error in 10 of its last 11 games, and has only recorded more than one error in a game on three separate occasions.
WILLADSEN NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Thanks to his dominant complete game effort on Sunday, Matt Willadsen was named ACC Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon.
The Holly Springs, N.C. native tossed the first complete game of his career in the series finale at Boston College, and did so in shutout fashion as the Wolfpack won, 7-0, to earn a series sweep on the road.
SCOUTING NC A&T
In its last time out, the Aggies split its series with North Carolina Central over the weekend to improve to 4-8 in MEAC play. A&T has won two of its last 12 games.
As a team the Aggies are batting .248 and averaging 4.78 runs and 7.78 hits per game. The team is led by Cameron Brantley at the plate who owns a .303 batting average, 23 runs and 33 hits, while Justin Rodriguez paces the squad with six doubles, five homers and 26 runs batted in.
