#21 Wolfpack Defeats Clemson in 4-1 Decision

CLEMSON, S.C. - The 21st-ranked NC State men's tennis team (10-6, 7-2 ACC) defeated Clemson (7-11, 1-8 ACC), 4-1, on Sunday. The win is NC State's seventh in ACC play and its seventh-straight victory over the Tigers.
DOUBLES
Clemson claimed the doubles point, getting its first doubles win with Andrew Puscas and Carlos Kelaidis' 6-2 defeat of Collin Shick and Robin Catry.
Fiftieth-ranked Teodor Giusca and Yizhou Liu clinched the point for the Tigers as they defeated No. 30 Alexis Galarneau and Robert Turzak 7-5.
SINGLES
NC State made a strong start in singles play, taking all six first sets, and all of its singles wins came in straight-set fashion.
Yannai Barkai posted the first singles win for NC State with a quick 6-2, 6-2 takedown of Jorge Plans Gonzalez shortly before Tadas Babelis claimed the 6-3, 6-3 victory over Ryuhei Azuma.
Catry got the Wolfpack one point away from clinching the match with a ranked win, defeating No. 75 Kelaidis 6-2, 6-2.
It was Turzak who sealed victory for NC State with a 6-2, 7-6(7) win over Spencer Whitaker.
