
Volleyball Takes on Pair of Top-25 Opponents

LOUISVILLE, KY. – In its return to the road, the NC State volleyball team is set to square off against a pair of top-25 opponents this weekend, March 27-28. The Wolfpack will open its weekend with a neutral site match against #22 Georgia Tech Saturday at 3:30 p.m., followed by a Sunday 2 p.m. matchup against #14 Louisville. Both matches will be broadcast on ACCNX.
The Wolfpack is coming off back-to-back sweeps last weekend at home against Clemson and Virginia Tech. Melissa Evans and Jade Parchment continued to lead the Wolfpack, both recording double-digit kills in both matches across the weekend. Taylor Rowland has come on strong as another offensive threat, as she now has double-digit kills in three-consecutive matches. Rowland also hit a season-best .435 against Clemson.
SCOUTING GEORGIA TECH
Georgia Tech sits in first place in the ACC with an 11-2 record, including going 4-1 this spring. The Yellow Jackets have won 29 of its last 32 matches dating back to 2019. As a team, Georgia Tech currently leads the ACC and is ranked sixth in the nation with a .314 hitting percentage. They also lead the conference in aces per set (1.64) and are second in kills per set (14.18).
Mariana Brambilla has led them offensively, averaging second in the ACC and 18th in the NCAA in both kills per set (4.55) and points per set (5.10).
SCOUTING LOUISVILLE
Louisville is one of the top blocking teams in the country, as they rank second nationally with 3.15 blocks per set. Amaya Tillman leads the Cardinals with 1.61 blocks per set, fourth among the NCAA. Louisville is 10-2 and has won six-straight with its last loss coming back on Oct. 23 against #10 Pitt. Because of the Cardinals strong blocking presence, they'e held opponents to a .147 hitting percentage this season.
Anna Stevenson has been a solid threat for the Cardinals, as she ranks 11th in the NCAA and leads her team with a .416 hitting percentage.

NC State will conclude its regular-season slate of matches next weekend, Apr. 2-3, in Tallahassee, Fla. The Wolfpack will first take on Syracuse on April 2 at 2 p.m. followed by an April 3 matchup against Florida State.
